    • How long have you been working at the hotel group?
      I’ve been in our family hotel business for about four years, in a revenue management capacity.
    • Tell us about the hotels
      Special Tours Prague has six hotels, across four and five-star categories, in Prague. We sell a lot through online travel agencies. We know all of our employees, we always look into reviews and our hotels and staff pay close, personal attention to detail. That’s what makes us stand out.
    • How long have you been working with Availpro? Why did you decide to choose them?
      We changed our PMS a year ago, and then switched to Availpro. We spent four months picking a channel manager as we were looking for a better solution to integrate reservations into the PMS to have live prices. We looked for a universal product, and Availpro acts like a bridge for us. Most of the time we’re looking at the PMS and between all other platforms, such as wholesalers. Through Availpro we can check on all the other channels. It’s seamlessly integrated into our PMS; Availpro had the best connections. It was the best-connecting from all of the channels we tested. It was the best connection into the PMS and the OTAs.
    • What were the problems you were experiencing before choosing Availpro?
      Availpro is very flexible – it’s not rustic like some other systems.
    • What was the biggest impact on your business after selecting Availpro as your partner?
      The fact we can look clearly at all the prices you can have, to easily see if there are any price discrepancies, to see what you have with partners. There’s also the speed of the updates. For example, when updating to Expedia or Booking.com, it’s almost instantaneous. Across other channels it can take just one to three minutes. Nowadays that’s the standard expected, to be quick, but Availpro has always been very quick.
    • Is there anything that makes Availpro seem unique?
      We wanted good support. Unique, local support. They also connected all the rate codes and strategies correctly to every channel. If we call them, they already know. We don’t have to explain anything – they just do it. So for us it’s the support and capabilities – it’s the best possible combination. It’s easy to use, nothing is hidden.
