- How long have you been working with Availpro?
Since 2012, it’s been now more than 5 fruitful years of cooperation.
- Why did you decide to choose them?
I used to work with DIRS21. Then one day, as I am trying to keep up with market trends, I attended this event organised by trivago and Availpro in Berlin. And this is how our partnership started (and this is how I like to see it, as a partnership, not a provider-client relationship): I met with their sales manager, Rita, and got curious about this new reservation system, so I wanted to try. I was able to test it in parallel of my own system. And the conclusion was that Availpro was better, much quicker, with more automation.At this time I also got very aggressive contact from another player on the market. But I decided to go with Availpro because I had to wait ages for the setup and when I finally ended up testing their booking engine, I did not get a good conversion rate.
- Which products do you use from the software suite?
I have the basics: Channel Manager, Booking Engine, and I will probably consider their metasearch tools this year.
- What was the issue you were experiencing before choosing Availpro?
When you have to wait for 15 minutes to download a rate and when there is just one room left, you can’t allow to wait so long: it needs to be immediate or you will face overbookings and other issues. In any case, this represents a huge lost of time, that you don’t spend focusing on your guests.
- What was the biggest impact on your business after selecting Availpro as your partner?
I am now saving time, and have less issues to solve! To this day, Availpro provides a stable platform, where I can put my rooms on freesale, segmenting between direct and indirect sales without being scared of over or underbookings.I am very proud of my direct sales channel ratio which is 28%, as well as of the booking engine conversion rate, which was 20% in 2017.
- What are the main benefits of Availpro?
They simply have a great booking engine! On the channel manager side, there are so many connectivities that are fast, on top of that.Also, when you work with Availpro, you get access to a full network, whether it’s managed by them or not. For example, I am going to revamp my website soon, with Workmatrix, based on one of their recommendations.
- Are there any tools or enhancements you would like to see made?
I really like the fact that there are always new features. As an innovator on my market, I need tools that reflect this mindset, that are innovative.
- If you were to recommend Availpro to another hotel, what would you say about them?
Availpro provides a good support, which is local and responsive, their technology is fast and intuitive. If all Paris hotels use it, then we can’t go wrong because these hotels in such a touristic city can’t afford going wrong.
