Hotel Digital Lab London: How to increase revenues in a digital and data-driven world?
Tamer Baker, Director of Enterprise Sales UK, Ireland, and Nordics for TrustYou, the world’s largest guest feedback platform, discussed how to take advantage of your guests’ feedback to influence the market to have a larger share and better sales.
The impact of guest feedback on bookings cannot be underestimated: 95% of travelers read reviews prior to making a booking decision and 76% of travellers are willing to pay more for a hotel with higher review scores.
Baker said guest surveys solicited by hotels themselves is a powerful tool, because consumers are more likely to review positively and hotels that do their own surveys see an increase in their overall ‘TrustScore’. Also staff and procedural changes can quickly be made in response to the issues raised by guests. Hotels that offer real-time messaging to respond to guest requests during their stay will also see improved reviews.
