It goes without saying that the GDS channel represents a major source of potential sales for hotels, with more than 650,000 travel agents able to access this offer. The way in which this important channel is accessed depends on how each hotel chooses to represent its offer (direct or via switch). With this new partnership, Availpro is extending its GDS connectivity offer to users with direct, automatic connectivity to the GDS channel. What’s more, these users can still manage their offer via a single, common planning across all distribution channels.
Amadeus LinkHotel connectivity: a real commercial opportunity for hotel owners
Once a hotel has subscribed to this service, travel agents can instantly book rooms via the four GDS channels (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo and Worldspan), under the OI chain code. Updates are performed automatically, in real time, from the Availpro extranet. This easy-to-use system enables hotels to increase their sales in hitherto under-exploited markets (e.g. Corporate) and in specific geographical areas (Latin America, Asia, etc.), with no additional workload. Using the GDS channel, hotel owners can share the source of their bookings and boost the visibility of their property or properties.
